What Is the Lymph System?

When you eat food, your body digests that food for its nutrients, and then sends those nutrients to every living cell in your body. As the cells process these nutrients some waste is created. The waste from each cell must be removed or the body will "drown" in its own waste.

The lymph system, located throughout your body, provides the "highway" by which this waste is transported from the cells, then to the blood, and then to the colon and kidneys. The lymph system acts as a miniature sewer system.

Why Does the Lymph System Need Cleansing?

The lymph system is more than a transportation system for the lymphatic fluids. It also works as a filter, removing bacteria, microorganisms, dead cells, and other unwanted substances. Unfortunately, our bodies have an abundance of these unwelcome substances which can block the lymph nodes, decreasing the body's ability to resist disease.

Whenever the lymph system is overwhelmed by these toxic materials, or whenever the lymphatic filters become clogged (especially during illness) the system stores toxic mucous.

The lymph system is similar to the pipes that carry waste in a house. Over time, wastes build up on the insides of the pipe walls and start to clog the system. The same thing happens in the lymph system. Toxic mucous and other wastes build up in the lymph system and hinder its function.
